Welcome to R-Planet Open Alpha. Only 3000 players can enter this server which starts on January 27th and fight for one of 100 Hero NFTs.
The alpha is a full-fledged R-Planet MMORTS game with all the key features implemented and functional. It is a server-type game. Each server has a start date and the end when the winners will be chosen. This type of server is a battle arena. The goal is to survive. It will last until 100 players are left.
To survive, you should develop your base and army, defend your base, and capture and destroy your enemies’ bases.
Let’s start!
There are few things you should do at the very start:
- Choose the faction (they differ by characteristics of units);
- Choose the region (the map is divided into four areas. If you are playing with friends, choosing the same region at the start is a good idea.
Base
You’ll find yourself at your base; the only construction there will be Nexus, the building which allows you to build and upgrade other facilities.
Each base has 18 foundations where you can construct buildings. Also, there are nine foundations for mines located around the base. Choose a foundation and then the building you would like to make. Not all the facilities will be available from the start. Most of them depend on the existence and upgrades of other ones. We will talk more about the buildings, discover industries, and where they are involved.
*Drone&Robot Quest* ENEFTERIUM4Y
All buildings are divided into three groups, namely:
- resources — everything that helps to extract resources;
- infrastructure — facilities that are necessary for development in the game and interaction with other players;
- military industry — everything related to the creation of the army and its improvement.

In the next segment, we’ll talk about the minerals and essential resources from which everything on the R-Planet is made, how you can improve the productivity of mining, where to store minerals safely, how to trade them and how to keep your robots alive.
Minerals or resources are essential for developing a functioning base and robots. So let’s talk about resources, what exactly you need them for, how to control your mining power and storage capacity, and what buildings will help you to improve your mining rate and to store mined minerals.
There are four minerals on the R-Planet. Three of them, Waxon, Caponium, and Enefterium, can be used as building materials for buildings and robots. The fourth one is Wecanite, which can be used not only for buildings but as fuel for robots and droids.
Players will use minerals:
- to make buildings;
- to upgrade buildings;
- to develop all kinds of units;
- to feed robots and droids;
- to trade with one another.
All the primary bases have two deposits of each building mineral and three deposits of Wecanite. Yet there are plots on the map with different ratios of deposits. You can choose one of those for the establishment of your next base.
At the beginning, you’ll get a base, which will start mining deposits of these crucial resources immediately. Although you’ll only be able to store a tiny amount of resources to start off.
So one of your first steps should be to build a Supply Depot.
To build any building, just choose a foundation where you would like to place it and pick the building from the list. You should have enough minerals and free builders to start the process.
Supply Depot is the central storage where you can keep minerals. By upgrading this building, you will increase its capacity. A maximum number of Supply Depots on one base is not limited. A Stash is another type of storage building but from which enemies will not be able to steal resources. It can be pretty useful at the start when you have no solid defensive army. The Stash’s capacity shows the number of minerals from your Supply Depot that are secured in case of attack.
How to increase the productivity of mining
First of all, please keep in mind if the storage capacity isn’t sufficient, all the extra minerals mined will be lost.
Except for specific NFTs (like instant-increase-of-mining one-time use NFT, or Hero NFT ), there are three buildings you can construct to increase the mining productivity of minerals: Mines, Factories, and Terraformator. You should develop a compatible type of building for each of the four minerals.
The number of mines is limited only by the number of deposits of a particular resource around the base. Upgrade your Mine to increase the mining productivity even more.
Factory. An enrichment station is the second step of growing productivity after the mine. For them to become available, you will need a 10th level Mine and require a 10th level Nexus.
Terraformator is a place where you can attach your land NFT. The increment coefficient depends on the rarity and level of the attached Land NFT. You can attach a maximum of 3 NFT to the base after upgrading Terraformator to the 20th level.
In the future, there with be specific NFTs that will impact the mining rate after implementing the Hero functionality. Increasing mining productivity will be one of the Hero’s powers.
How to enable using NFT Assets in the game?
You’ll need to perform a few actions before you are able to use NFT Assets in the game. First, you need to attach your WAX account to your game account. To do so, please, visit the site.
Go to the NFT Management Tab, and log in with the account you’ll use in the game and your WAX account.
After that, you will be able to see your assets in the game: Setting/Assets, and use them in the appropriate buildings.
Trading
Minerals will be the primary goods and assets within the R-Planet MMO. The Market is the place where you will be able to exchange minerals you may have an excess of for minerals you require. There will be two ways to trade: to accept the offer from the ones available or to create a buy order with the price suitable for you and wait until someone accepts it. Also, you can send resources to another base or to your allies from the Market.
All trading operations are not instant. Your transporters must transport minerals to the buyer, while the buyer’s transporters bring your purchase to you.
By upgrading the Market, you increase the number of transporters and can do more operations simultaneously.
You can also improve your transporters by increasing their capacities. To do so, you need to build another building, the Transport Hanger. Then your transporters will be able to carry more resources on each trip. Upgrade the building to make their backpacks bigger.
Who consumes Wecanite
As you already know, all minerals are required for construction, upgrading buildings, and creating robots. But only one of them, Wecanite, is essential to keep your army alive.
Each robot, after creation/unpacking, starts consuming Wecanite.
Each building has droids servicing it. After updating the building, more droids will have started to live there, so more Wecanite is required daily.
Try to hold Wecanite consumption under control. When consumption is higher than production, robots start to die. When the level of Wecanite in the Supply Depot reaches 0, one robot dies. The dying robot releases some Wecanite, which other robots can consume.
Hopefully, now you have some idea about minerals and how important it is to keep an eye on their production and consumption. Our next article will be dedicated to robots, drones, and other kinds of troops, which will help you to defend your base and defeat your enemies.
Combat Units
Troops of every faction consist of units of seven kinds. You can choose which faction you want to play by analyzing the battle units’ characteristics, such as:
- attack;
- defense against robots;
- defense against drones;
- backpack capacity;
- speed;
- speed of creation;
- price (amount of resources needed for the making of one unit);
- Wecanite consumption.
There are seven types of units. Each faction has at least one of them. Every kind of battle unit has a specific use case and unique characteristics.
A robot is a combat unit that is slower compared to drones and can be used in different attacking and defensive operations, including capturing resources.
Drone — fast, usually more expensive, and powerful combat unit for use in attack and defensive operations, including capturing resources.
Spy — a drone that enables you to learn essential information about the enemy base.
Ram — a siege weapon unit, the only one which can break the shield of the base.
Artillery — a type of siege weapon, the only one which can break buildings.
Hacker — a unit, which can be used for capturing someone’s base.
Settler — a unit, which can be used for settling someone’s base.
Buildings
Let’s jump to the buildings. There are buildings you will need to be able to create units, ones you use to improve them and the ones you need to manage the robots.
There are several buildings where you can create buttle units, such as
Robot Factory — here you can make robots.
Air-Tech Factory — here you make drones.
Siege Factory — here you can make rams and artillery units.
Expansion Hub — here, you can create units for capturing and settling new bases.
Use the following buildings to improve your units:
In the Academy, you can research new kinds of units, so you’ll be able to make them in the appropriate buildings afterward.
Use the Ammunition Center to increase the attacking and defensive abilities of your units.
Use Jet Center to speed up your units.
Central Command
Central Command is the key building if we are talking about managing your troops. Here you can look over all your units, choose the targets, and the action you would like to perform with them.
The higher level of the Central Commander is, the longer the list of buildings your artillery is able to attack.
Support
You can send reinforcements to your friends or allies. They can also refuse your support. At the moment your robots reach the recipient’s base, they start consuming Wecanite from it. In case the recipient denies your reinforcements, the units stop Wecanite consuming from his base and go back home. The recipient can not use your robots in an attack, yet in case of defense, your robots will prove very helpful. You can revoke your units anytime.
Battle
There is only one winner in the battle. Whose army prevails by attacking or defensive points respectively. The losing side forfeits all the units used in the fight.
You can use almost all the units to attack, keeping in mind the goal you are pursuing: to cause some damage, capture some resources or capture the base.
If rams are used in the attack, then they are first in the line. After the invasion of rams, the defensive points of the defender’s army will be recalculated. Then the rest of the units attack.
If artillery is used in an attack, the building chosen as the target will lose its prestige, level by level. It can be ruined if the aggressor’s artillery unit’s power is enough.
Rob
Use this action if you plan to steal some resources from another player. In this kind of operation, you can use robots, drones, and rams. Rams will allow you to decrease the general protection of the defensive units on the base you attack by damaging or destroying the Shield. Doing so allows you to decrease the chance of losses from your side.
In case of winning, you’ll capture the number of resources, which depends on the capacity of your units that survived after the battle. Such an operation happens on the same principles as the battle. As a result, you might capture some resources and lose some of your units or all of them.
Spy
You can perform this action when you need information about your enemy’s base, such as resources and units allocated on the base, the level of its defense, and whether there is or not a Shield and Expansion Hub.
To defend from the spy’s attack, you must have your own spies on the base since every spy has its cover protection, which protects you from the enemy’s spies.
Strong base defense allows you to build your larger-scale plans, like establishing new bases or capturing someone else’s. In our following guidance article, we will talk about the weak sides of your base you should protect and the buildings and units you can use for it.
The most significant danger that can threaten you is that someone will destroy or even worse, capture your base. In those cases, your game within the current server is finished. The last article mentioned conditions that lead to destroying or capturing the base. Here they are:
The base is destroyed when all the buildings there have been destroyed.
The base is captured and proceeds to a new owner when its Expansion Hub is destroyed, and protection of the base goes down to zero.
You should do your best to avoid those situations at all costs.
How to develop a strong defense of your base?
Developing the security of your base requires taking care of a few key aspects such as having
- capable defensive troops,
- the stronghold of your buildings,
- the army of spies,
- Datacenter of some high level.
Defensive Army
Each robot and drone has a characteristic of defense against robots (ground forces) and drones (air forces). Creating your first robots, please pay attention to those parameters.
Train your robots and drones in the Ammunition Center to improve their attack and defence numbers. Remember to upgrade Ammunition Center as well to increase those qualities.
A Shield is a structure that improves the defense of all units located on the base. The rams are a significant threat to the Shield. In case of attack, units of ram robots will be the first to invade. Their goal is to destroy the Shield, decreasing additional defense for your units.
Armor of your buildings
The Fortification Center allows you to improve building defense against the artillery. Upgrade it to increase the protection of all the buildings on your base, including the Expansion Hub and Shield.
Upgrade the Nexus to be able to quickly recover after the attack, upgrading and rebuilding with higher speed.
Army of spies
Spies are the only protection from spies.
In case of a spying attack, if there are no spies on your base to protect all your top secret information, the attacker spies will get the info about your base.
If there are spies on your base, they will fight with enemy spies.
Enemy spies can have losses or die during the operation. Defensive spies never die.
In case of an enemies’ spies’ loss, they will die.
In case of an enemies’ spies’ victory, they will get the info to the owner.
Digital Security with Datacenter
The key thing you should care about while managing an army of robots is to protect your base against a hacker invasion. Your Datacenter is the building that allows you to restore the base’s protection in case hackers have attacked it. The higher the level the building is, the faster protection recovery will happen.
Units of the hacker kind are the only ones which can break your base’s protection. Decreasing that protection, while the Data Center enables recovery of your base protection points.
Destruction of the Expansion Hub is another condition that needs to be fulfilled by the enemy in order to capture your base. So, please do your best to protect your Expansion Hub with army and fortification.
Good luck!
