Important update: The decreasing of the general supply of Aether is scheduled for tomorrow, March 24. Today we are going to talk about the process and what will happen with the rest of Aether.
At the moment the general supply of Æether is 10 trillion. In order to decrease it to 1.5 trillion, we are going to issue 8.5 trillion of Æether and 🔥 burn them right after that. Once all the remaining 1.5 Æ is mined, mining will stop forever.
The instant change of the general supply is not the only way we are decreasing the total amount of Aether. We are also going to 🔥burn some Aether which has already been mined or will be mined in the future.
- For example, Aether received from selling elements within the laboratory of R-Planet Alchemy will be burned in full.
- Aether collected during the RDAO auctions will be burned as well, right after the end of the auctions.
- Aether collected as the result of future asset sales will be partly burned and partly distributed among RDAO holders.
Thanks to these measures, the general Aether supply will decrease dramatically while still staying enough for fulfilling all the use-cases required for the project.
